Terms and Conditions for Cronus Service Inc.

1. General

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of all services provided by Cronus Service Inc. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) and the use of our website https://www.cronuservice.com.
By scheduling service, requesting an estimate, or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our site and services.

2. Services Provided

Cronus Service Inc. is a licensed California contractor specializing in:
• Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning installations, repair, and service
• Refrigeration equipment installations and service
• Electrical services and panel upgrades
• Plumbing services and water heater replacements
• Solar and energy storage systems installations and service
• Residential and ADU construction works
All services are performed in compliance with California State Licensing Board (CSLB) regulations and local building codes.

3. Estimates and Proposals

• Estimates are provided based on information available at the time of inspection or communication.
• Final costs may vary if additional work or materials are required once the job begins.
• Written approval from the customer is required before performing any additional chargeable work.
• All proposals and estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

4. Scheduling and Access

• Scheduled appointments are subject to availability.
• Customers must provide clear and safe access to the work area at the scheduled time.
• Missed appointments or restricted access may result in rescheduling fees.
• Cronus Service Inc. reserves the right to refuse or reschedule service due to unsafe conditions.

5. Payment Terms

• Payment terms will be specified in your written estimate, contract, or invoice.
• For most residential jobs, payment is due upon project completion unless other terms are agreed in writing.
• Accepted payment methods include credit/debit card, cash, check, and ACH bank transfer.
• A 3% processing fee may apply for card payments.
• For construction, commercial or multi-phase projects, progress payments may be required according to milestones.
• Failure to pay may result in collection action, lien filings, or suspension of further work.

6. Permits and Compliance

• Cronus Service Inc. will obtain necessary building permits when included in the project scope.
• Customers are responsible for ensuring property access and for providing accurate ownership information.
• Any delays caused by third-party inspections or agencies are outside our control.

7. Warranty

HVAC and Refrigeration Repairs
• 12 (twelve) months Parts + Labor for HVAC and refrigeration repairs of refrigerant sealed systems, for replaced parts (such as capacitors, compressors, coils, etc. in refrigerators, freezers, AC units, heat pumps, coolers, commercial equipment).
Plumbing, Electrical, and Water Heaters
• 3 (three) years Labor warranty for installation of water heaters, electrical circuits, EV chargers, whole house fans, and plumbing repairs.
Solar and Energy Storage
• 5 (five) years workmanship warranty for solar, energy storage projects, including any additional installed equipment.
Residential HVAC Installations
• 5 (five) years Labor warranty for HVAC system installations (heat pumps, air conditioning condensers, furnaces, evaporator coils, ductless mini-split, VRV, VRF) when the customer signs a maintenance agreement at the time of installation.
• In the absence of a maintenance agreement, Cronus Service Inc. warrants labor for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date of installation.
• This warranty applies to labor only; all parts are covered exclusively under the manufacturer’s warranty and are subject to the terms and conditions set forth by the manufacturer.
• Up to 12 (twelve) years labor warranty may be available upon execution of an extended warranty agreement.
Appliance Repairs
• 6 (six) months Parts + Labor for appliance repairs: refrigerators, freezers, coolers, dryers, washers, cooktops, ranges, ovens, microwave ovens, dishwashers, etc., when replaced parts include fuses, igniters, control boards, relays, valves, fans, motors, sensors, heating elements, etc.

8. Warranty Exclusions

The following are not covered under any warranty:
• Cleaning, maintenance, and refrigerant refill services.
• Damage due to misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, or unauthorized modifications.
• Issues caused by power surges, lightning, flooding, fire, or other external factors.
• Refrigerant leaks beyond the initial installation period.
• Failures resulting from improper operation or dirty/clogged filters.
• Failure to maintain the product in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
• Normal wear and tear on components such as filters, belts, and batteries.
• Service and repairs must be performed by Cronus Service Inc. or an approved contractor.
• Any unauthorized repairs or modifications will void the warranty.
• Evidence of proper service, when required, must be submitted in the event of a claim.

9. Satisfaction and Price Match Guarantee

At Cronus Service Inc., we stand behind our work — your satisfaction is our top priority.
We strive to offer the best pricing in the area while delivering exceptional quality and service.
If you receive a written estimate from another licensed contractor — even if it includes a different brand, model, or equipment set — we will adjust our offer by:
• Matching the price with an equivalent or better system, or
• Modifying the equipment and service package to provide greater value.
All comparisons must be based on similar system performance, efficiency ratings, and scope of work.
Estimates must be current, valid, and provided by a licensed and insured contractor.

10. Limitation of Liability

• Cronus Service Inc. is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to property loss, loss of income, or business interruption.
• Liability for any claim related to work performed is limited to the amount paid by the customer for that service.
• We are not liable for issues arising from pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, or code violations discovered during work.
Cronus Service Inc. shall not be held liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from or related to services rendered.
This includes, but is not limited to, food spoilage, water damage, electrical failures, gas leaks, mold growth, property damage, or personal injury resulting from pre-existing conditions, improper electrical or utility connections, aging infrastructure, or unauthorized modifications to the system.
Cronus Service Inc. is not responsible for issues caused by customer-supplied parts, equipment installed or serviced by third parties, or system failures due to lack of maintenance or manufacturer defects.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all relevant systems (electrical, plumbing, gas, and structural) are up to code and capable of supporting the requested work.

12. Communications Consent

By providing your phone number or email, you consent to receive messages from Cronus Service Inc. regarding your appointments, project updates, and offers.
SMS (Text Messages):
• Message and data rates may apply.
• You may opt out at any time by replying “STOP.”

Email Communications:
• You may unsubscribe at any time using the “unsubscribe” link in our emails.
• Your consent to receive communications is not a condition of purchase.

13. Customer Responsibilities

• Customers must provide accurate contact, billing, and property information.
• Customers must ensure that pets, children, and personal belongings are safely away from the work area.
• Customers are responsible for securing necessary approvals from landlords, HOAs, or property managers before work begins.

14. Cancellations

• Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
• Late cancellations may result in a service fee.
• For large projects, cancellation after materials have been ordered may incur restocking or cancellation charges.

15. Force Majeure

Cronus Service Inc. shall not be held liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of nature, supplier delays, labor strikes, or government restrictions.

16. Website Use

• All content on https://www.cronuservice.com, including text, images, and graphics, is the property of Cronus Service Inc.
• Unauthorized copying, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited.
• Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

17. Privacy Policy

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Placer County, California.
